Programs

At Halifax County United, our programs are designed to nurture players at every stage, from grassroots enjoyment to elite competition. At HCU you will find excellent coaching, a supportive environment, and a clear pathway for growth.

Many HCU programs operate out of the BMO Soccer Centre indoor fields and outdoor turf fields adjacent to that complex, we also offer community programs within our catchment area of Larry Uteck, Kingswood, Tantallon, Timberlea, and Prospect Rd.

SPRING PROGRAMS

  • Program Description:

    U3–U5 Micro’s Spring
    Soccer Program | 3 Weeks

Our U3–U5 Micro’s Spring Soccer Program is the perfect introduction to soccer for our youngest players. Designed to be fun, active, and engaging, this program focuses on building a love for the game through movement, play, and positive social interaction.

Each session is game-based and age-appropriate, helping children develop fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, balance, and coordination, while gently introducing basic soccer skills like dribbling and kicking. Sessions are led by experienced coaches in a safe and supportive environment where players are encouraged to explore the game, try new things, and have fun.

This program is ideal for families looking to keep their children active in the spring and prepare them for future summer programs—no prior soccer experience required.

    4 Weeks + Weekend Tournaments

Our U7–U11 Spring Soccer Program is designed for young players who want to stay active, sharpen their skills, and get ready for the summer season. Over 4 weeks of skill-focused sessions, players will work on technical development, game understanding, and confidence on the ball.

Spring Tournament – World Cup Edition

This program includes two weekends of Small-Sided Game tournaments, giving players the opportunity to put their training into action in a fun, age-appropriate, and lightly competitive environment.

Whether players are new to soccer or already passionate about the game, these tournaments provide a supportive setting where they can build confidence, apply their skills, and enjoy game play with their teammates.

As this is a World Cup year, the tournaments will feature a World Cup theme:

    • Each player will be assigned a country

    • Teams will wear or dress in the colors of their assigned nation

    • Teams will be balanced to ensure fair and enjoyable competition

    • Team rosters will be shared one week prior to each tournament weekend

This event is designed to celebrate the joy of the game while reinforcing teamwork, creativity, and a love for soccer — all in a positive and memorable environment.
